“Visionary Leadership”

I’m excited to share a new episode of Community Catalysts with you, featuring a remarkable guest who has long been a voice for insightful civic leadership—Otis White, founder and CEO of Civic Strategies.

From 2011 to 2015, Otis hosted a podcast series in partnership with the Georgia Municipal Association, where he interviewed community leaders who shared invaluable lessons from their journeys—one of which is featured in this episode.

To begin, Otis and I discuss leadership that serves a community’s best interests versus leadership driven by personal or political agendas. He also dives into his book, The Great Project, which tells the incredible story of how a single civic project transformed Columbus, Georgia, and laid the foundation for ongoing progress in the community.

This episode includes Otis’ captivating archived Civic Strategies podcast conversation with Cathy Woolard, the political godmother of Atlanta’s BeltLine, offering a compelling glimpse into the transformative power of bold civic visions.

As always, thank you for being part of this community.
